Our Championship Venues
Competition sites at the Schattenberg complex and Ried cross-country center
The jump complex situated beneath the Schattenberg mountain features five distinct hills and receives international attention each year during the opening event of the Four Hills Tournament. The HS 137 and HS 106 hills will once again serve as the stage for ski jumping and Nordic combined competitions, just as they did during the 2005 championships.
The cross-country stadium at Ried, with its extensive trail network, previously hosted World Championship events in 2005. The renowned Egli Hill and the near-legendary Burgstall climb will again prove decisive in the 2021 cross-country competitions, challenging athletes at crucial moments in their races.
Detailed venue maps indicating the various seating categories will be made available here well in advance of the ticket sales launch. These plans will provide comprehensive information about sightlines, amenities, and accessibility features at both competition sites.
The Schattenberg Jump Complex
This historic venue combines tradition with modern infrastructure. The facility has been carefully updated to meet contemporary championship standards while preserving its distinctive character. Spectators will enjoy excellent views of both the in-run and landing areas from multiple vantage points throughout the stadium.
The Ried Cross-Country Center
Set amid gently rolling terrain, the stadium offers an ideal setting for Nordic racing. The course design incorporates natural features that test technique and endurance, with spectator areas positioned at strategic locations where races are won and lost. The demanding climbs and technical descents create dramatic moments visible from throughout the venue.
