The Organizing Committee

A dedicated organization assembled to deliver a world-class winter sports championship

To orchestrate the Nordic Ski World Championships, a specialized company was established with the singular purpose of managing every aspect of preparation and execution for this major international sporting event.

The organizing entity operates as an independent corporation structured around the collective expertise of four principal stakeholders, each bringing essential perspectives to the endeavor.

Founding Partners

The organizational structure draws together representatives from competitive athletics, municipal governance, regional administration, and local sporting tradition. This collaborative framework ensures that both athletic excellence and regional interests receive equal consideration throughout the planning process.

Key stakeholders include the national skiing federation, the host municipality, the district administrative body, and the longstanding local ski club. Together, these entities provide comprehensive oversight spanning competitive requirements, infrastructure planning, and regional tourism considerations.

Advisory Committees

Four specialized committees provide strategic guidance across critical operational domains. Each committee comprises experts drawn from the founding organizations, contributing specialized knowledge to advance the organizational mission.

Committee Structure

  • Financial and Legal Affairs Committee
  • Marketing and Communications Committee
  • Environmental and Sustainability Committee
  • Infrastructure Development Committee

These advisory bodies meet regularly to address complex challenges, review progress, and ensure alignment between operational activities and strategic objectives.

Executive Leadership

Day-to-day operations are directed by an experienced management team working alongside specialized staff members who bring deep expertise in large-scale event production. The executive directors coordinate across all functional areas, maintaining momentum as the championship approaches.

Volunteer Corps

During the competition fortnight, nearly two thousand volunteers will serve essential roles across venue operations and ancillary programming. These dedicated individuals form the operational backbone of the championship, providing services without which an event of this magnitude would prove impossible to stage.

The volunteer team receives comprehensive training and coordinates closely with professional staff to deliver seamless experiences for athletes, officials, and spectators. Their contribution represents the community spirit that distinguishes this championship and reflects the deep connection between the region and winter sports tradition.
